This is an evolving situation. This page will be updated as more information is available.

As our community moves towards reopening and resuming many of our normal daily activities, Pacific Rim Outpatient Surgery Center strives to offer a safe place for surgical procedures.

We are committed to your safety.

Our goal is to make our surgery center a safe place to receive care. Here are some of the things that we are doing to achieve our goal:

  • Ensuring all patients are tested for Covid-19 before surgery
  • Maintaining social distancing during check-in and in the waiting room
  • Prohibiting any visitors or family members from entering the building (except for with minors and interpreters)
  • Giving car side discharge instructions to reduce amount of traffic in the building
  • Requiring staff and patient support to wear a mask at all times

As we strive to return to normal, a key milestone will be increased testing to help us track and respond quickly. We require all patients to be tested before surgery and are assisting in testing add-on patients with a drive-up system here at our center.

Non-urgent surgeries and procedures

Pacific Rim Outpatient Surgery Center has postponed surgeries and procedures (operations) that are not urgent. This will begin March 18. We continue to reassess this daily and will update our surgeons as information changes. We plan on working diligently to open more rooms and work longer hours once the limitations have been lifted.
